Easter Floral Card for Funday Friday Challenge #39-Florals

Yep it's Friday and that can only mean that it is Fun-Day Friday Challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack! Hello and welcome to my blog, today for Group A our sponsor this week is Bugaboo, This weeks challenge: is a Florals and I'm so ready to see them start popping up, it's been a long winter this year. Here is the card I made:
I chose the digi stamp Floral Easter Eggs-Egg 1 its a really cute stamp and my first Easter card this year (can you tell I'm really wanting spring to get here-more snow on the way this coming Monday :( )
This card came together pretty fast with my February counterfeit kit handy to use for the papers. I used that striped cardstock for the card base. 2 cut out cards, one for the background behind the stamp and one to hold the sticker that Happy Easter was stamped on with SU Teeny Tiny Wishes using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I used half a doily to peak out from behind the card and added to gold glitter brads and some purple sequins from my stash. Here is what I did with the inside with another cut card and more of the purple sequins just ready for that special message to send to someone

Special Graduation

Hi you all and welcome to my blog I'm the designer today over at Card A Day Blog, a blog that offers a challenge monthly, just need to do one or even all the themes it the month. We hope that you'll join us and play along:)
Graduation Week and I have had the pleasure of having tax week (yep been doing them) so it hasn't left to much time or desk space to craft this week so I thought I'd bring back a favorite of mine. I gave this card to my G-daughter for her graduation in 2012, it's a waterfall card. As you draw down on the string it flicks down like a waterfall and shows a variety of icons about graduation. If you would like to see the card in action you can stop by my blog at this post. Thanks for stopping by and stop back later for a Friday Fun-Day Challenge

1st Tractor Ride

Good Morning and I hope you are all having a fine day today, I wanted to get this post done before I really dive into the paper work for my tax appointment later today.
The layout is about Zachys first tractor ride on the big gold tractors :) Our Minneapolis-Moline tractors is always a favorite with the grand kids and the kids in general big or small, but this was Zachy's 1st time for a ride and smiles galore from all the adults but shoot I don't think we got any from Zach other than a half smile.
The layout came from my Counterfeit kit from Jan or maybe it was Nov, but either way it's a done deal.
The left side of the layout was all about Dad and Son on the Tractor. The tractor is Gold and Red so I kept my color scheme the same. I used stickers from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane sticker sheet at various spots on the layout.
The right side holds pictures of Zachy with Pappy and Grammy :) Pappy was well pleased to take the grandson for a ride and I was having fun holding him up on my tractor for a photo op, he was enjoying the steering wheel and playing with it saying brrmm brrmmm. More of the stickers scattered around

the die cuts on both of these pictures were from the Country Life cricut cartridge with shadow. I fussy cut the girl off the tractor. I'm seeing I did forget to add the red stickles for the center of the wheel rims yet.

the photo mat for the photo of me with Zach was from a sheet of a variety of different images to cut out and this was a post card style cut thought it was a cute vintage style mat

The title was created with the letters from the sticker sheet that I added to a piece of Creative Memories cardstock I had in my stash and I cut it to give it a pennant look.
this will be for the journaling I have to do yet, need to look it up in my journal to get the right feeling into it and the date.
the photo mat for the top photo was a sheet of a variety of different images to cut out and this was a Polaroid style cut.
So I have one more layout to do for this album WOW I can't believe I'm nearly done with this project working on it now 2 years and I think. With all the Big Picture Classes (Starting a new one today Before You Story more to come on that) and The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog that I have to thank them for helping me through this project. Plus I want to do the 10 min card challenge yet and then I can say I killed the kit :)
Thanks a bunch for stopping by my little corner of the world today and I hope you have a fantastic day :)

I have included this in the following Challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge: All About You-Use your favorite colors-one of mine is Gold

February Blog Hop with Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Welcome to February's Blog Hop from the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. If you came from Julene's blog Julene By Design your on the right track and If your just starting the hop, then you'll want to go to the beginning at  CKCB, so you can see all the ladies' contributions. The challenges this month are:
  1. Challenge #1 Ugly Sweater Inspiration - do you love them or hate them?  Let those big shapes and bright colors take center stage on your projects!
  2. Challenge #2 Angled Backgrounds -  create an angled background for your project
  3. Challenge #3 10 Minute Craft Dash -  time yourself ... you have TEN MINUTES to make a card!
I chose to do challenge 2 the Angled Background. This was really fun, I enjoyed making something different and the background made a nice back drop to the photos. I created a 2-page layout and the left page held the background
This layout emphasis is my Husband and the reasons why I love him and these are a few of them. So I dug and dug for pictures today to make the layout (really need to figure out an organized way to keep photos). These are just some of my favorites of him, I had a stack of pictures that were more than I could hold on this layout :)
Some closer shots of the layout:
Left side is made up of one piece of 12 X 12 that was actually cut to get some pieces for the angled background so I grabbed the natural dotted cardstock from my stash to make it a 12 X 12
The right side held most of the pictures and the some of the reasons why I love my husband
top half of the right side
Closer view of the bottom half

Full Bloom Birthday Card-Funday Friday Challenge

Yep it's Friday and that can only mean that it is Fun-Day Friday Challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack! Hello and welcome to my blog, today our sponsor this week is StampArt Designs by Kathryne, This weeks challenge: is a sketch:
Isn't that a cool sketch :) This is what I did with it:
A birthday card for one of the girls in the family just not quite sure who will get it yet. I really have to thank Counterfeit Kit challenge for their choice of February kits, that I was able to make the kit I have this month to work with, I just love how this card turned out. I used the digi stamp from StampArt Designs by Katherie, 'Full Bloom'. I encircled that with a cut out from the Kaiser Craft flutterby sheet, gotta love creative memories circle cutting system to get the circle right where I wanted it and the pieces fit together like a puzzle. My cardbase is 6 X 6, I used the Abbey Road "Lucky Me"collection from My Mind's Eye. Added Paper Pizazz Vellum Hearts from Hot of the Press for the mat, seem to soften the the tone of the plaid. The purple trim lace border came from my stash, iVamerica purple rhinestones to the corners and yellow Crystal stickers to the center of the flowers for a little extra bling.
The Happy Birthday sentiment came from 3 Twenty Crafts "Personalize It" stamp set and I used Memento Lulu Lavender ink.
I used that same vellum for a mat on the inside of the card and more cuts from the Kaiser Craft flutterby sheet, the border, the corners which covered up the glue nicely, and the circle sentiment (this is where I got the butterfly circle for the front :)
I used the The Happy Birthday sentiment that came from 3 Twenty Crafts "Personalize It" stamp set and I used Memento Lulu Lavender ink again on the inside. Also hand wrote a little something from the book "Just the Right Words".

Here is what I created using this new stamp set:

I used the check-off block stamp for my 2014 goals, and I included a few of the extra stamps that are with in the set to create a goal list and writing in the personal goals. This list is on this page in my Modville Crush Book:
This is what the whole page looks like, with included journaling pocket from close to my heart, I used my counterfeit kit challenge for the alphas, the journal pocket, the flairs and the washi tape. Here is a look at the goals part flipped to the right:
Some up close pictures of the pocket and tag in the pocket:
My little word: Punctual or in other words "On Time" tag. On the pocket itself is a swirl stamp that comes with the stamp set.
tag inside the pocket
The other side of the tag my journaling about why I chose the word and also the year of scrapping, I want to get lots of pictures I have printed scrapped.
A picture of the South Williamsport clock that is in the Dunkin' Donuts plaza that I took for a visual of the word. Using the negative pieces from the punched edge with the Stampin Up Chevron punch. The pictures included on this page are some of the extra I had left over from my Week 1 PL spread, so a good place to put those extra pictures is in your crush books/smash books

Mom Thank You-Day 3 of the 3 Twenty Crafts blog hop

Hello my crafty friends!!
Welcome to day 3 of the 3 Twenty Crafts 2nd Release! You should have arrived here from Melissa's blog but if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, simply go to Jo's Scrap Shack.
Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Say it from the Heart”
This set of stamps is so cool! So many uses for this one and the sentiments could used for so many people, Mom & Dad, Husband, Friends, Sisters & Brothers, Sons & Daughters, Aunts and Uncles, Grandparents and more
Here is the card I created using this new stamp set:
I made the card from my counterfeit kit (the kit is really getting a workout this week :), I had fun making this card lots of fussy cutting and stamping. My card base came for the multicolor stripe cardstock, I used the tan cardstock and the pink cardstock and put them both through the embossing folder SU Honeycomb (perfect size for the stamps). The tan became my background and the pink I used to stamp a selection of the stamps. 1.75" strip of the blue (the other side of the pink) and cut it to make a pennant, cute the doily in half and attached that behind the blue strip. I used CTMH Smoothie bakers twine, wrapped 3 times and tied a bow to it added a flower that I got from a swap. I fussy cut all the stamp pieces and I also fussy stamped Mom and Thank you on the Hexagon shapes and sprinkled all the pop dot pieces around the card
I also brought in one of the verses to the inside of the card
All the stamping was done with Memento Nautical Blue ink, I added a couple more of the flowers to the inside, a sweet Mother's Day card or just a card to let her now how you feel.
When your not sure what you want to say this set is perfect to help you out with that. Thanks for stopping by and be  sure to hop around and see what the girls have done with this cute set of stamps. I can envision this on a scrapbook layout, a smash page or even a project life card such a cool set of stamps.

A 3 Twenty Crafts Blog Hop with Week 1 Project Life 2014

Hello my crafty friends!!
Welcome to day 2 of the 3 Twenty Crafts 2nd Release! You should have arrived here from Melissa's blog but if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, simply go to Jo's Scrap Shack.
Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Strike a Pose”

This stamp set coordinates with Project Life and Smash Books.
Here is what I created using this new stamp set:
This 3" X 4" card is included in my Week 1-Jan 1-5 2014 Project Life spread
Hi you all and welcome to my blog, today I have week 1 of my Project Life 2014. I chose to use the Project Life Cinnamon edition for my core kit this year with me mixing in other papers so I don't get to bored with it. Why did I choose that kit, funny I think it chose me, got the Album for my birthday from my husband and the core kit from secret Santa this passed year so I think it was meant to be :), I also used my current PL counterfeit kit too. Here is some closer shots:
The right side holds Jan 1, 2014 and the week in review card, we got quite a bit done that day it took the whole page. Typical breakfast, Dave and I enjoying our Christmas Gifts, and Christmas decorations put away (Gone!)
The Left side holds the rest of the week: Snow storm on the 2nd, Cold temperatures and a water pipe that burst on the 3rd, Working on the 4th, 3 sections took over for Sunday the 5th.
On the 1st I spent my Christmas Gift cards and money at Michaels and A.C. Moore. I bought a few things that were on my list that I didn't get :) plus some things I thought I needed. When I got home found Dave out in the back field playing with his new cordless trimmer saw. He's enjoying that gift.
Here you can see that special card using 3 Twenty Crafts "Strike A Pose" stamp set in it's pocket. This will be used quite often over this year in my future project life spread, but this stamp set could be used for so much more in Smash books and on cards or even on a scrapbook layout.
Well that is my project and I am glad you stopped by today. Your next stop on the hop is Tina M so have a great time as my Design Team sisters have really created up some gorgeous projects that will surely inspire you!!

You should have arrived here from Melissa's blog but if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, simply go to Jo's Scrap Shack.

Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Simple Sentiments”
Isn't this just a cool set of stamps. Here is what I created using this new stamp set:
My Granddaughter's birthday card. I used my February Counterfeit Kit for majority of my card except the die-cut cupcake that is from the Rock Princess cartridge and the stamps. The card base is the red hexagon paper with the butterflies and the black doily border. I covered up the butterflies with the plaid pink & orange cardstock mat (just wasn't feelin the butterflies on this paper), I situated it that the black doily border would still show. Tag is from Kaiser Craft Flutterby cutout sheet stamped with 3 Twenty Crafts Simple Sentiments: Celebrate You with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I finished it off with xmas red stickles and a white doily behind the cupcake.
The inside of the card had some of the hexagon cardstock, the plaid cardstock and the other side of that cardstock the orange. The journal spot is another cut from that cut-out sheet and it was a good addition for the CTMH Artiste collection birthday stamp set and also the 3 Twenty Crafts Simple Sentiments: Happy Birthday

Well that is my project and I am glad you stopped by today. Your next stop on the hop is Tina M so have a great time as my Design Team sisters have really created up some gorgeous projects that will surely inspire you!!

Sweet Baby: CCChallenge-Baby

Good morning and welcome to my blog, I'm one of the designers over at Creative Cutting Challenge and it's all about baby this challenge. So my post is a card that I made:
using Creative Pointe's Baby Buggy file:
Baby Buggy - Click Image to Close
This file was perfect for the card, to produce a Sweet Baby card. Depending on the designer, this file cuts really well, some svgs don't I'm finding out :)
I was able to jazz up the cut with a border created with a double edge punch: MS: Double Link Trim punch. I used a hunk of paper for another card so that left the 2" border with the word Sweet in the right place ( I love creative uses with paper) That paper came from the 6X6 Lost & Found Two Designer paper pad from My Mind's Eye. The sweet pea paper was in my stash for the background. Added a few buttons in my button collection and the bow. A very easy card :) The card base is 6 X 6 card cut out from a 12 X 12 cardstock I have in a Baby cakes collection paper pad.
The inside I used that same sweet pea paper and also the pink cardstock that the cardbase is cut from. Added more of that border and a couple of hearts from the card I posted on Friday.
The die-cut was cut from cardstock from my February Counterfeit Kit Challenge, The Abbey Road collection also from My Mind's Eye. (Enough from those 3 pieces for probably another card yet:) Also I did the bottom of the buggy piece with the cuttlebug embossing folder swiss dots for some dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm doing in my little corner of the world. Later...

It's All About the Green

Hi and welcome to my blog, I'm the designer today for Card A Day Blog We have been celebrating St Patrick's Day this past week over at CADB, we like to do a month in advance so you have time to create for your holiday and can find inspiration before it's needed. My card is all about the green:
I used a variety of greens for the card, a lime green cardstck for the scallop background and the sentiment cut, a light green cardstock for the card base, a green pattern paper for the background of the card this came from the K&Company Alleghany Plum specialty paper pack (this pack has pretty vibrant color designs and a darker green for the shamrock cut.
The shamrock cut is from the silhouette store: Design #39513 and the one thing I love about the designer software is that you can take that design and in the offset window and create that sweet scallop background with just the push of a button no thinking at all the software does for you, all I have to decide is how big of an offset I would want. I ran the shamrock through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder to give it dimension and added stickles pine around the edge for a glittery look. The background pc was cut from the silhouette also, a Lori Whitlock square that I adjusted for the card base. The sentiment tag came for a set roof tags from the silhouette store too. I used an ATD sticker pack that had the shamrock stickers and the rhinestones. The stamp sentiment comes from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes (this is a great all around holiday mix of stamps to have on hand) and I inked it with memento tuxedo black.
The inside all I need to do is add a white printed sentiment for the inside. I'll have to go look online for an Irish Blessing to put in there :)
You all have a great weekend and come back Monday for Creative Cutting Challenge and  then all week blog hop for 3 Twenty Crafts while we showcase the new stamps coming out.
